Virginia General Assembly Updates New Page 1

Legislative Update 1-23-2017 Apology for 3rd update in one day but necessary

First, let me apologize for sending yet another update. We do not like to send two updates in the same day, much less three.  However, it is necessary because the docket for the House Privileges and Elections Committee’s Elections Subcommittee was not posted until just recently.

**********************************************************

Both HB 1425 and HB 1482 are in the same subcommittee.  We support HB 1425 and oppose HB 1482.

SUPPORT:

HB 1425 (Pres. and VP electors) is on the agenda for the House P&E’s Elections Subcommittee for tomorrow, Tuesday, 1/24/17, at 7:00 a.m. in the 9th Floor Appropriations Room.  Please contact the Delegates listed below and ask them to vote YES on HB 1425.

OPPOSE:

HB 1482 (Presidential electors by Popular Vote) is on the agenda for the House P&E’s Elections Subcommittee for tomorrow, Tuesday, 1/24/17, at 7:00 a.m. in the 9th Floor Appropriations Room.  Please contact the Delegates listed below and ask them to vote NO on HB 1482.
